About
Academic Tutors is a private tutoring service located in Toronto, ON and the surrounding GTA area. We offer a variety of subjects and programming for different levels, ages, and specialties. We have a handful of tutors and educators working to spark an interest in learning!
Tutoring for any age & Level

We offer help with foundational knowledge and can provide support to the Ontario core curriculum between the grades of 1 and 12, as well as external support for private school students.

Some of our tutors have experience teaching young learners between the ages of 3-6 with phonetics, reading, numeral literacy, and writing letters - which offers a good head start for early childhood learning.

We have tutors that can instruct basic English, math, science, and language to students at an elementary and middle school level. For the students looking to get ahead, tutors can provide advanced material.

Our tutors are all highly trained and specialized, they can provide help with high school and undergraduate university level courses (1st through 4th year).

Knowledgeable
All of our tutors are well-educated and knowledgeable in their respective fields, many of which have or are receiving further post-graduate accreditation. Our tutors are passionate about their subjects and enjoy the opportunity of being able to share that passion with their students.

Our tutors are flexible and adaptable, they work with students on an individual basis to understand which approach is best for the students learning and success. We know that learning styles are not uniform, our tutors use a variety of teaching methods to engage, encourage, and support their students.

Enthusiasm is contagious! That is why all our tutors bring excitement and joy to the process of learning. Our tutors work with a positive feedback model to encourage and motivate students, we believe that all students are capable of reaching their goals - some just need to be reminded that it's possible!

The process of learning can be difficult and frustrating, and our tutors understand and empathize with the struggle. We believe patience is a necessity when learning anything, academic or otherwise, and we accept failure as an integral part of the learning process. Learning requires practice and hard work, more often than not we need to flop before we can fly! This is why our tutors curate a non-judgemental learning space, our tutors work to gain our student's trust to create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.

An often neglected component of education is the creation of a healthy and sustainable learning lifestyle. We work to equip our students with an optimistic learning mentality and approach, which works to flourish a sense of self-confidence and capability. Reaching your goals requires time, commitment, self-discipline, and critical thinking, just to name a few, and we are here to implement these qualities into students learning. Our tutors work to inspire and mentor, independent thinking, problem-solving, communication, organization, and leadership. We believe in building a repertoire of transferable skills that can be used in other aspects of life, outside of a student's desired learning subject, which will help set them up to be a life learner.
